NYBNA Inc. is committed to improving the health care of African Americans. We continuously share our knowledge, experiences and expertise to the community at large. Our Community focus has a strong emphasis on prevention, education, screening and referral. We are equally committed to working to assist the incoming, current and future Black nurses. NYBNA is a chapter within National Black Nurses Association, Inc.
What We Do
NYBNA’s objectives are to:
Actively recruit more Black women and men into nursing.
Assist Black women and men in securing financial aid for nursing education.
Provide counseling and tutorial services for Black nursing students.
Promote cohesion and solidarity among Black nurses locally, nationally and internationally.
Be a networking resource for Black nurses and the community.
Be a catalyst for making the nursing profession more accountable to its Black members.
New York Black Nurses Association has provided scholarships to Nursing Students of Color, Nursing Schools and Health Care Facilities for more than 30 Years.
Supporting the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act.
